Show plot details

Carrier

Malachite; isolated casualties among rescuers.

Denouement

During the operation, Malachite and the doctors nearby die.

Development

  1. They feed on blood and increase in volume.
  2. One specimen releases the juveniles into a water bottle.
  3. Malachite drinks contaminated water; organisms end up inside it.
  4. Removing the parasites causes a dangerous release of the substance. The full cycle of the species has not been established.

Dossier boundaries

The species is not a face-hugger. The dossier combines specimens of the same species rather than reporting one individual in all scenes.
