Bottom line

Researchers notice damage to the chest from the inside. There are eggs at the bottom. In the game, Marlowe disables the transmitter, and Foster's infection connects this discovery with the Sevastopol disaster. This is a rediscovery of the same remains, not a new living Engineer.

Dossier boundaries

Alien (2122) and Alien: Isolation (2137). The age of the remains is not precisely established. The image's connection to the Engineers is developed in the prequels; the pilot of LV-426 and the survivor of LV-223 are different characters. Sources: movies, deleted scenes and Alien: Isolation; comics and other games are not included.
